Relationship Education Programs We Offer
In 1994, A Door of Hope (ADOH) began providing healthy relationship education resources to health educators. We are a faith-based organization, but our resources, created for public schools, are based on science and health. Our relationship education programs have been presented in over 100 venues in the tri-state area.
Teaching the students the benefits of choosing to save sex until marriage is an opportunity to provide them with hope for 100% safe sex, without any complications of disease, pregnancy or sexual comparisons. The freedoms of this choice strengthen self-esteem, self control, healthy relationships and hope for the future. It’s exciting to share this information with teens that are facing these important choices!
A Reality Check – Day 1 of this program includes a discussion of the following:
- Goals
- Maturity
- Becoming a person of character
- Reserving sexual expression for marriage
- Reasons/risks/results of sexual expression
This program is available as a Power Point presentation or using overhead transparency slides. An ADOH presenter will make two 45 – 60 minute presentations or one 90-minute presentation for grades 8 – 12.

Treasure Your Gift – The educator uses a beautifully-wrapped gift box to emphasize personal value.
On Day 1, a one-hour overview of the topic, and role play and discussion are used to demonstrate reasons why teens are saying “no” to sexual expression.
Day 2 finds the ADOH presenter discussing the freedoms of waiting for sex until marriage as well as dealing with the past “mistakes” and what it means to “start over.” Each teen chooses to treasure his/her gift of sexuality or to run risks with it. Suggestions are made to help an individual “treasure their gift.”
This program is available as a Power Point presentation or using overhead transparency slides. ADOH will make one 90-minute or two 45 – 60 minute presentations. Although this program is recommended for grades 7 & 8, it is available for grades 7 – 12.

Becoming a Champion – Your Game Plan for Sexual Integrity – Young people are exposed to sexual imagery, music or ideas that compromise one’s sexual integrity. We want to help them develop a game plan for success in preserving not only their bodies, but their souls and minds as well.
On Day 1, we discuss various principles that affect one’s success. What one sees, hears or experiences influences one’s life. Habits formed before marriage often continue into marriage and self-seeking gratification can never satisfy and often becomes addictive. The understanding of these principles is instrumental to developing a successful game plan.
On Day 2 we assist students by helping them develop their “game plan” for sexual integrity. Practical skills for how to pursue purity are addressed, as well as relying on mentors and others to help them truly become champions of sexual integrity. We provide direction and strength to a young person desiring to resist temptation, as well as practical techniques for how to avoid inappropriate sexual influences in every area of life, especially from the media and internet.
This program is offered as a Power Point presentation. Without using any sexual imagery, students begin to understand that what they see and hear affects them. ADOH will make one 90-minute or two 45 – 60 minute presentations for grades 7 – 12. We suggest using this program after using one (or more) of our two “abstinence-until-marriage” presentations.
